Patrick Cozzi

Patrick Cozzi

Patrick is the Chief Platform Officer at Bentley Systems and the founder and former CEO of Cesium. He has authored, edited, or contributed to 10 books, including 3D Engine Design for Virtual Globes, OpenGL Insights, and WebGL Insights. Patrick has received multiple industry awards for his contributions to geospatial and 3D computer graphics open standards including 3D Tiles and glTF. He is the co-founder of CreateAccess, a nonprofit that increases technology opportunities for young people in under-resourced communities through exposure to 3D creation education. Patrick earned a Master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also taught GPU Programming & Architecture for almost a decade.

Sean Lilley

Sean Lilley

Sean Lilley leads 3D software development at Cesium from data acquisition to visualization and analysis, including the Cesium ion 3D tiling pipelines and Cesium runtime engines. He is the co-editor of 3D Tiles and a contributor to glTF 2.1.

Erik Lindholm

Erik Lindholm

Erik Lindholm held titles of Senior Distinguished Architect and Master Inventor at NVIDIA. He made key contributions to the invention and evolution of the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), including co-architecting the first GPU, the GeForce 256, the first programmable GPU, the GeForce 3, and was lead architect for the GeForce 8's revolutionary unified shading architecture. His work has profoundly shaped GPU design enabling the AI revolution.

He holds 128 US patents covering fixed-function and programmable computer graphics architecture, multi-threaded scheduling, and advanced GPU queuing, among others. He received B.A.Sc. and M.A.Sc degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. He was awarded the UBC Faculty of Applied Science Dean's Medal of Distinction in 2016, and a UBC Doctor of Science degree, honoris causa, in 2025. He became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering in 2026.
